By entrusting your home to Decontamination360, you guarantee peace of mind.

What is radon?

Present naturally in the soil a certain amount of radon can infiltrate and release alpha particles. Being heavier than air, it tends to accumulate in the basement. It is odorless, colorless and invisible to the naked eye.

Health risks

Since radon is radioactive, a significant amount can cause cell mutations and affect the genetic code, which favors the appearance of lung cancer. Here are three factors that promote the development of lung cancer.

Concentration

The higher the radon concentration, the higher the risk of cancer.

Duration of exposure

Prolonged exposure to radon will increase the chances of developing lung cancer

Smoking

Smoker exposed to radon will have more chance of developing complications

You can reduce your risk of exposure by hiring a professional who will do asbestos analysis before you undertake renovations, remodeling, demolitions or additions.

By entrusting your home to Decontamination360, you guarantee peace of mind.

Our team always works according to very high standards. To guarantee the quality of our decontamination work, a final air test is analyzed by an independent laboratory. The results must meet the standards of the CNESST, otherwise the work is resumed at our expense.

  • Personalized action plan

  • Detection of the place where there is infiltration

  • Radon diversion

  • Air quality test at the end of the work

  • Report certifying all the works

Our methodology
If Radon is everywhere in the ground, how are you going to eliminate Radon from my home?

In a case of Radon infiltration, we will not be able to eliminate it. What we will do instead, depending on the situation, is the diversion of it or provide adequate ventilation to allow the instantaneous evacuation of it.
